Pennsylvania Department of Health's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program
Today's families want to know how healthy food and useful information can help them nourish their children. That's why we worked with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to create a marketing campaign for the state's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Our team created a vibrant graphic identity, strategic messages and a marketing plan. Our work will ensure that Pennsylvanian women and children, who are at-risk for future health and nutrition complications, are aware of the new WIC food package and its benefits. We also designed and produced several new collateral pieces including a new brochure, posters, radio and TV public service announcements (PSAs), and statewide billboards. A successful public plan option is the key to reforming our health care system. It's the only way to provide secure coverage for all at a price taxpayers can afford. To help ensure that real health care reform has a public plan option, we worked with the Center for Medicare Advocacy to launch medicareworks.org where site visitors can take action and have their voices heard. Visitors can also make a donation, take action on the latest campaign, listen to a Podcast, sign a petition, read the latest news, contact decision-makers and share their stories regarding access to quality healthcare.

PolicyLab, a Center of Emphasis at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia ensures optimal child health and well-being by informing program and policy change through interdisciplinary research. We worked with researchers and policy experts to create a fitting name for the newly established Center of Emphasis. Our team also designed a logo and graphic identity, created key messages, and developed a formal program announcement. We are currently working with PolicyLab launching their new Web site, also designed by Douglas Gould and Company.

Douglas Gould and Company supported the communications, marketing and development efforts of the Frost Valley YMCA Camp by securing media coverage for their programs. We raised visibility for a new Wellness Center that opened September 2008, and their pioneering Kidney Dialysis Program that enables youth with kidney disease to safely experience the joys of a traditional summer camp in a mainstreamed environment. Catering to a wide range of guests, the Frost Valley operates year-round, hosting a myriad of environmental education, leadership, retreats and conferences for schools and groups from around the world.
